Dev Blog 41 – Mo cap, Mo combat

Camera-Close-Up

So much mo cap. So many new animations (214, to be exact!). So many sore muscles. Worth it! At long last we finally got back into some more mo-cap this week. Our animations are, frankly, one of the weakest points in the game currently, and we've gotten a fair bit of feedback over the past months. We've been extremely eager

Dev Blog 40 – Saving the day

NewOasisScreen

And thus ends another week of development. The big item on the list this week was the beginning of a proper save/load system, which was being put off in favor of gameplay development. Finally time to bite the bullet on that one and get it done! Sorted out a few bugs/polish issues with the new player character, and HUGELY smoothed

Archives-Day

Happy friday! We're back from our summer break last week, full of renewed energy, vigor, and sunburns! Feels good to be back at it; as you might remember, we've got some exciting stuff coming up soon, namely a whole ton of new animation work for the NPCs. We've also updated the player character model, which means our full-body-awareness will look

Explore an Unforgiving Paradise

There are many miraculous sights to see and things to find in Eden. If only you can survive to discover them.

With a massive city environment, from malls to nightclubs, there will always be something new just around the corner.

explorationthree

Surviving Against All Odds

The workings of Eden are foreign, the residents mad with unpredictability. Your every decision to eat sleep or drink may be your last. Time, you'll find, is the most precious commodity.

unconventional-weaponry

Wield Unconventional Weaponry

Wars are a figment of the past, weapons as they exist today are irrelevant. Utilize the pacification devices of the Peacekeepers, or the numerous utilitarian gadgets of various professions around Eden. All mount directly to your AARM, your access point between yourself, and all the rest of the technology on Eden.

Immersive Technology

Your holopad contains all the functions necessary to survive, in an immersive format that won't draw you out of the world. View your status, inventory, loadouts and more at the touch of your finger.

you-feel-a-pressing-chill

You Feel A Pressing Chill…

Eyes opening to the sharp prick of frigid water, your attention is rapidly drawn to the suffocating structure in your throat.

A soothing voice from an infinite distance begs your calm as you frantically thrash in your icy cocoon; oblivious to its purpose. Deafening turbulence surrounds you, emptying the chamber and leaving you suddenly painfully aware of the crushing gravity. A chime tones and you spill out into the world with nothing but a strong sense of deja vu.

pamela

Friend…

Trapped and alone in the place she once guarded, Eden's sentient AI Pamela can do nothing but watch. Watch as the meticulously built reality that she raised is torn asunder by the misguided remnants of her people.

United in suffering, Pamela will aid and guide the player until the moment of their untimely death...

enemies

Foe?

As their bones shift and their skin cracks, the afflicted denizens of Eden know only pain. The shadows afford them the slightest solace, cloaking themselves from witnessing the sight of their ever shifting form.

Even the strongest minds cannot endure forever, and nothing can halt the affliction. For all who contract it there is only one fate, to become their own living tombstone in the ever intensifying silence of Eden.

horror-at-any-time-of-day

Horror at any time of day

Days are never long enough, and night is perilous. Manage Eden's power to keep the lights on, and control your environment.
